Tragedy. Laura, the wife of policeman Tiberiu Sarbu, of Sannicolau Mare (Timis), couldn’t tell Daiana, their 6-year-old daughter that his father has been shot by thieves
The family of Tiberiu Sarbu (38 years old), the policeman killed on duty in Sannicolau Mare, is devastated. The main suspect of murder, Gheorghe Breazu, a recidivist kid, aged 19, was caught in Hungary.
To go through the news that her father died, Daiana, the 6-year-old girl, was helped by psychologist of the Frontier Police.
“I explained daddy is now sleeping and he is in Heaven now” said the psychologist. According to him, the little girl knows her father “has fought against thieves”.
Her father’s role in the family will be taken over now by the girl’s grandfather, Ioan Cecala, the policeman’s father-in-law. “The girl realizes what had happened. I told her he was sleeping and she burst into cry”, said Daiana’s grandfather with tears in his eyes.
Accused of murder, Gheorghe Breazu (19 years old), nicknamed “Ghitulica Hotu”, has recently left reformatory. After he grabbed Tiberiu Sarbu’s gun and shot him, he managed to get out of the country and be caught by the Hungarian police officers. Next week, he will be extradited by the Magyar authorities.
