Businessman Dinu Patriciu said Bucharest Stock Exchange couldn’t survive in its current organization and its only solution to grow is to become a regional stock exchange.

"I believe in BVB’s future, if it's smart enough to become regional and to contribute to transforming Bucharest into the financial center of the region. I don’t think it can survive in its current status" said Patriciu at the opening of Bucharest Stock Exchange session on Monday.
He mentioned the Romanian stock exchange must become a place of listing the regional companies, without excluding countries such as Moldavia, Bulgaria, Albania, Serbia, Macedonia, Serbia or Bosnia.
The stock exchange should have a marketing policy aiming to attract investors in the region on the local capital market.
The market needs an integration engine and Bucharest Stock Exchange can be that engine Patriciu said.
