The Romanian prime-minister Emil Boc said, today, the Government decided to suspend the reinvested profit taxing, starting from October 1st, and to limit the flat-rate tax for certain domains of activity, starting with January 1st 2010.
Members of the government coalition decided to maintain, at the same level, the unique taxing rate and VAT.
We’ve decided to take off taxing for reinvested profit, from the 1st of October. Starting with January, the 1st, 2010, the flat-rate tax will be limited for certain sectors and activities that will be decided by the experts within the Ministry of Finance added Emil Boc.
From the 1st of May, companies recording total annual incomes up to 52,000 lei will pay a minimum annual tax of 2,200 lei (about EUR 500), while companies recording more than 129 million lei incomes will pay 43,000 lei (about EUR 10,000).
