In May 2008, “Adevărul” was the forth quality newspaper in Romania, with 26,456 copies per edition.
After two years of massive investments, reflected in the editorial quality, the Romanian daily managed to become the most sold among the newspapers of the quality segment, exceeding its main competitors, Jurnalul Naţional“, “România liberă“ and “Evenimentul zilei“.
The change began in November 2008, when “Adevărul” recorded an average of 56,140 sold printed copies per edition.
The paper's rise continued in the months that followed: in February 2009 “Adevărul” passed over 90,630 copies, in April reached 101,689 units, so that in June to be sold in 126,177 printed copies.
In order to get here, the Romanian publication was submitted to major changes, from editorial, management and marketing point of view. The first change was the owner’s decision to establish a new management, in October 2006.
