Traian Băsescu: "I'm ready to name a third prime minister, if necessary"
The Romanian President Traian Basescu stated on Tuesday that if the government formed by designated prime minister Liviu Negoita gets a no-confidence vote in Parliament, he would name a third prime minister, according to the public television.
Basescu said he doesn't want to defy the Parliament by designating Negoita again, if his cabinet gets a no-confidence vote in Parliament, stressing he will designate a new prime minister, if it should be the case.
The Romanian head of state said he has the obligation to designate the country's prime minister and stressed he sould name a new primier immediately, given the country's stringent need to have a government.
On Monday, Negoita submitted to the Parliament a Cabinet the list of fourteen ministries led by some of acting democrat liberal ministers, independent Gabriel Oprea and other politicians.
