Almost 10 months from the explosions occurred at Petrila mine, where 13 people were killed and other 15 injured, investigators decided to send to trial three people from within the mine’s management, according to a press release of the Public Ministry.

The accusations brought to the head of Petrila Mine Exploatation, Aurelian Necula, the chief engineer responsible for the labor security and health, Gheorghe Roşu and the head of the mine’s lifeguard station, Ştefan Dan Ungur, are murder, body injure and break of labour protection measures.

The three men are charged of using inadequate labour methods, which created the conditions for the circulation of the air charged with oxygen in the exploited space. This brought the increase of the endogenous fire that cause the two explosions.
