The first Ford automobile produced in Craiova revealed in public

The first Ford car produced in Romania was released today in Craiova. The company’s management said that, due to financial crisis, that affected the auto market, there will be only 1,000-2,000 units to be fabricated by the end of the year.

After more than a year since Ford took over Craiova automobile factory, the first prototype produced in Bănie came out on the production line.

Though both the central authorities and Ford officials showed optimism in developing production units, John Fleming, president of Ford Europe, said jut 1,000-2,000 units will be produced in Craiova by the end of the year.

“We’ll raise production according to the market’s evolution. We must consider the market has known a 50 % decrease in the last year” said Fleming.
