Rebellion against Cornel Nistorescu, the new director of Cotidianul daily

Tensions: Naming a new director ahead of ”Cotidianul” newspaper has stirred an explosive situation. After five years, Cornel Nistorescu returns in an editorial office, making a row.

Censoring the text about ”Romosan informer”, Cornel Nistorescu agitated the spirits within the editorial office of Vantu’s newspaper.

Cornel Nistoresu, the new director of Cotidianul daily, is questioned by important figures working for Realitatea-Catavencu media trust. Robert Turcescu decided to stop editing his weekly column, Ioan T. Morar said he would not work with the new director, while Emil Hureyeanu is annoyed with Nistorescu’s decisions.

In the first editorial meeting, the new director dismissed a sub-editor, who was on holiday. Cristian Patrascoiu said he learnt the news of him being dismissed from a colleague and he considered himself the victim of an abuse.
