“I offer advantageous and legal loans” . This is the type of aid that appears on “classified aids” column of national Romanian newspapers. Money loans with huge interest rates are not something new in Romania, but the phenomenon has exploded for almost a year.
The explanation becomes easy to identify: the current economic crisis and the lack of a law that would explicitly condemn money lending from extortioners. Many of those who get caught in the toils end up taking their lives away. Others make up their minds, becoming homeless people.
