Event: “Forbes 500 Billionaires”, launched yesterday by Adevarul Holding Co., shows the great changes faced by the richest Romanian people, in a year when economic crisis has strongly affected most businesses.

10 richest Romanians have gathered a total fortune of EUR 8 billion, according to the top made by “Forbes Romania”.
For the second year consecutively, businessman Dinu Patriciu, owning a EUR 2.2 billion fortune, was named the richest man of Romania.
New in the top of Romania’s first 10 billionaires, Ioan Niculae, has almost doubled his wealth and went ten places up to the second position in the top. Gabriel Popoviciu, ranked the fourth, along with his partner, Radu Dimofte, the occupant of the sixth position, are, for the first time, also, in top 10.
Ion Tiriac lost money for the first time within the last three years, with a fortune of EUR 900 million.
