"Starting from August, ministers, including the prime-minister, will have 20 % smaller wages. It will be a voluntary measure, as a sign of restructuring and rationalization of the budgetary spending. The measure will be applied from August till December and it will be a voluntary measure.
The signal has to be a very important one, because each one of us must understand that we have to go on in this direction" said the Romanian premier.
Emil Boc stressed the government would not issue an order for this measure, but ministers would make their own decisions.
