The government decided to assume responsibility for the unitary law of pension system, to eliminated privileges and inequalities of the pension system in Romania, said the Romanian premier Emil Boc.

Leading a minority and uncolored government, Boc was pleased with the possibility of dismissing the current cabinet due to its support on this law.

Romanian prime-minister Emil Boc found good the possibility that the Executive ruled by him might be removed, since the Parliament will carry a vote after assuming governmental responsibility on the pensions’ unitary law.

Romania’s Prime Minister Emil Boc said Tuesday he is ready to resign his position if the Parliament doesn't give the Government a confidence vote to enact the new pension law, adding he has considered this risk.

"I'm putting my position on the line. Either the law is enacted, or the Government steps down," Boc said.
