Unirea Urziceni qualifies for the Champions League

Unirea Urziceni Romanian soccer team is Romania's new champion and FC Vaslui qualified for the competition of European Cup.

The final of the 1st League was quite crazy. Last night, in the last stage of the competition, there were several scenic verdicts.

The maximum tension was reached by the indirect duel Steaua-Rapid, who competed for European League qualification. 

Unirea Urziceni managed a 1-1 score against Steaua, winning the champion title last night.

The first goal belonged to Steaua, minute 46, when Bogdan Stancu marked. But Petrescu's team took their revenge and Rusescu scored, minute 54, with his left foot.

Unirea Urziceni, Steaua, FC Cluj and Vaslui will play in the Champions League, whereas Dinamo and FC Timisoara still have to fight to qualify for the groups. 

In the next season, Romania will be represented by six teams in the European Cups:

Unirea Urziceni – Champions League groups

Dinamo – Champions League preliminaries

FC Timisoara, CFR Cluj, FC Vaslui and Steaua – European League preliminaries (one, two or three tours).

If FC Timisoara will receive the seven penalization points, the team from Banat will go up to the second place (and qualify in the Champions League), and Dinamo will go down on the third place (and play in the European League).
