Romania, poor corruption control score
An indicator of the World Bank regarding corruption surveillance places Romania in 2008, at the same level with Cuba and Ghana, with a better score than in 2007.

The survey “Indicators of Global Governing” for 2008 was issued by the World Bank through an interview of sources of information from 212 countries, such as nongovernmental organizations.
According to the results, Romania got a score of -0.06 for the corruption control, placing it on the 89th position in the world.
Nevertheless, the situation got significantly better in comparison with 2002 (estimative score of -0.36).
