Romania confirms a new swine flu case, the 11th

Romanian Ministry of Health confirmed, on Thursday, a new AH1N1 flu virus infection, raising the number of cases in the country to 11. The victim is a 48 year-old man who returned recently from Canada.

The man flew in from Canada, on June 8, on a different flight than the patient coming from Toronto on the same day, whose flu diagnosis was confirmed yesterday.

The patient is being treated at the “Matei Bals” infectious diseases hospital and his state is good.

Sanitary authorities started the epidemiological investigation for the identification of the man’s contacts.
