Investigation commission to ask Elena Udrea’s resignation and penal investigation

The Romanian Parliament’s committee of investigation of contracts attributed to the ministry of Tourism for organizing Youth Day completed the reposrt concerning the way in which that money had been spent.

The parliamentarian commission asks the Chamber of Deputies to approve the recall of the current minister of Tourism, Elena Udrea, and the beginning of her penal investigation, announced, on Wednesday, Ludovic Orban, the committee’s president.
Members of the commission demand also the approval of dismissal in the case of Cristina Traila, president of the National Authority for Public Acquisitions’ Regulation and Monitoring.
The facts that determine the investigation commission to reach the decision of penal investigation are: work abuse, work negligence, instigation to the infraction of abuse against public interest and conflict of interests, added Ludovic Orban.
