The head of the International Monetary Fund in Romania, Jeffrey Franks, said, today, the institution maintains the deadline for the Romanian authorities to enact the law of unique pay, that is October 31.

One of the conditions that Romania should receive the following tranche from IMF is to bring to an end the enactment of this law.
CNS Cartel Alfa president, Bogdan Hossu, said, Tuesday, at the end of the discussions he had with IMF representatives, that experts of the institution proposed a delay of the deadline to be able to have an efficient dialogue with the social partners and for simulations regarding the enactment of this law.
“We were quoted faultily yesterday. We maintain our initial calendar of enacting the law of unique pay, but we’ll carry discussions with the Government in this sense” said, Wednesday, Jeffrey Franks, after the meeting between IMF representatives and the Romanian officials of the Ministry of Finance.
