Bruno Mars este marele câştigător al galei Grammy 2018, primind şapte trofee, inclusiv la categoriile Cel mai bun album al anului şi Cel mai bun cântec al anului.
Cântăreţul american Bruno Mars a „furat“ show-ul şi aproape toate premiile Grammy 2018. Artistul în vârstă de 32 de ani a ieşit învingător la cele mai importante categorii - Cel mai bun album al anului („24K Magic“), Cel mai bun cântec al anului („That's What I Like“) şi Înregistrarea anului („24K Magic“), surclasându-i pe principalii favoriţi - rapperii Kendrick Lamar şi Jay-Z.
„În primul rând mă adresez celorlalţi nominalizaţi la această categorie - Lorde, Kung Fu Kenny, Jay-Z, Gambino: Voi sunteţi motivul pentru care eu îmi petrec timpul în studio încercând să dau tot ce pot, pentru că ştiu că voi veţi veni cu muzică şi artă de cea mai înaltă calitate. Vă mulţumesc că binecuvântaţi lumea cu muzica voastră“, a declarat Bruno Mars, citat de News.ro. Cântăreţul a dedicat victoria „eroilor săi“, între care se numără Babyface şi Teddy Riley, care l-au ajutat la începutul carierei sale muzicale.
Bruno Mars a fost premiat şi la categoriile Cea mai bună interpretare R&B şi Cel mai bun cântec R&B, pentru „That's What I Like“.
Kendrick Lamar (30 de ani) a fost al doilea cel mai premiat cântăreţ la cea de-a 60-a gală Grammy, care a avut loc duminică seară în New York şi a fost prezentată de James Corden.
Rapperul a fost recompensat la cinci categorii, pentru Cea mai bună interpretare rap, Cea mai bună piesă rap şi Cel mai bun videoclip („Humble“), Cel mai bun album rap („Damn“) şi Cea mai bună interpretare rap/sung („Loyalty“), colaborarea cu Rihanna.
Ed Sheeran a câştigat Grammy-ul la categoriile Cea mai bună interpretare pop solo, pentru piesa „Shape Of You“, şi Cel mai bun album pop, pentru „÷ (Divide)“.
Alessia Cara a fost desemnată Cel mai bun artist debutant, fiind şi singura femeie care a câştigat un premiu important la gala Grammy 2018, situaţie care a iscat controverse.
