Romanian Park Retezat qualifies in the semifinals of World's Seven Wonders

The Romanian National Park Retezat managed to qualify in the semifinals of the competition "The Seven Natural Wonders of the World", being ranked among the most beautiful national parks, forests and natural monuments of the world.

According to PR officer Florina Crisan, the expert committee will decide in two weeks whichare the winners of the competition. Out of the 77 contestants, 28 will be selected and subject to public voting, after the 21st of July.
A Canadian foundation launched a worldwide campaign to choose the seven natural wonders of the world, and three protected areas in Romania entered the contest that started in 2007.
Among the Romanian particpipants, also count Scarisoara Cave and the Danube, alongside many other national parks, caves, mountains, lakes and glaciers worldwide.
