Romania, on UNO list of countries with highest level of natural disaster

United Nations Organization released, yesterday, in Geneva, a list with 200 countries and territories situating at the poles of natural disaster risk, according to Agerpress news agency.

According to United Nations’ International Strategy for Natural Disasters Reduction, the countries with the highest risk of mortality, which received 9 on a scale from 0 to 10, are Bangladesh, China, Columbia, India, Indonesia and Myanmar.  

Romania is among the countries that present a high risk of natural disaster occurrence, same as Afghanistan, Guatemala, Iran, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, and Uzbekistan.

At the opposite pole, there are Greenland and the Territory of Wallis and Futuna Islands, which received the 1st level.

In the category of the countries with 0 risk of natural disasters are: Bahrain, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Qatar, Seychelles and United Arab Emirates.
