Pop star Michael Jackson dies at the age of 50
050 year-old pop star Michael Jackson died, Thursday afternoon, at UCLA Medical Center after being transported by an ambulance from his rented Holmby Hills home.
Paramedics tried to resuscitate Jackson at his home for almost 45 minutes, then carried him to the hospital, where doctors kept on trying to bring him back.
"It is believed he suffered cardiac arrest in his home. However, the cause of his death is unknown until results of the autopsy are known," his brother Jermaine said, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
Fans began to gather outside the hospital even before his death was confirmed. Jackson's father, Joseph, said his son wasn’t doing very well lately.
Shortly after, Michael Jackson's death was confirmed by his family.
Born in Gary, Indiana., on August 29, 1958, the seventh of nine children, Michael Jackson became the King of Pop Music.
