Three persons were arrested this morning after the scandal of human egg trafficking case in Sabyc clinic in Bucharest and Ilfov county, southern Romania.
The members of the group were allegedly bringing couples who could not have children to Romania and get in touch with egg donors for in-vitro fertilization procedures, people close to the investigation said.
Following four raids, the special unit seized papers, computers and over EUR130,000.
According to the quoted sources, Israeli citizens were members of the group. The doctor is an Israeli national with Polish citizenship.
The three were brought to Bucharest Law Court with a 29-day preventive detention proposal.
EUR200,000 had been recovered from the clinic. DIICOT prosecutors confiscated two cars - a Mercedes and a Lamborghini - who belonged to the clinic's owner and his son.
