The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is about to sign a significant loan for a project in the Romanian energetic sector, in two weeks, according to Romanian EBRD CEO, Claudia Pendred, according to NewsIn.
Pendred says EBRD plans to invest in sectors such as agriculture, telecommunications and general industry. EBRD signed, on Friday, a first 6-million-euro investment in the capital of a Romanian company. The beneficiary is the paper producer Pehart Tec.
At the beginning of May, Petrom signed a contract with The European Bank of Investments and EBRD for two corporative loans of 200 million euro each, to assure a part of the financial support necessary for the maintenance of Brazi electric plant. The total investment rises to over 500 million euro.
