We officially start this blog from the desire of being present in the process of diagnosing, healing and reinventing the Romanian spirit. We took this decision due to the fact that we wish that people around us would start realizing the importance of education which, at least in our opinion, represents the key to success in every matter.

One first advantage that strengthens us in all this process is our experience in an international environment, where we meet on a daily basis foreign students who share with us their impressions and beliefs about Romania, their excitement and their disappointments , all seen through an analytic and objective eye, people who end by leaving a part of their souls on our  Romania`s grounds.

Isn`t it that the expression „Romania`s grounds” gives us a patriotic feeling?

Well, it has to be underlined here people`s prominent inclination towards blaming without solving the underlying problem, as well as the incapacity of performing a change of perception as regards the Romanian society. Still, the foreign students seem to believe in us when it comes to making a change.

Have we actually earned their trust so it can be justified? Are we ever going to reach a feeling of pride of our Romanian nationality without hesitation when having to say it abroad? The list of questions may go on, but the answer is only one: There is no solution unless we try really hard.

Our main intention is to bring foreign students to write on this blog, who are going to share impressions about their experience in Romania, therefore helping us to distinguish again between good from evil.

In case you are wondering why we choose students and not mere tourists, the answer is that they are the only ones who can offer an analysis especially at an academic level, which is, in fact, the frame for consolidating personal principles and beliefs.

In our opinion, being accustomed to its own environment can stop the Romanian citizen from actually seeing the truth.  Huge economic and political pressure destabilizes us also emotionally and the multitude of negative opinions among Romanians about their own country can affect our own conceptions involuntarily.

That`s why we considered vital for us to ask for „Consultancy", for a unbiased service, that can tell us what we are good at and what we are doing wrong, that will definitely be harsh on us but, at the same time, will remind us that Romania is our country and that each one of us is an essential part of the puzzle and of the overall image. We are determined to criticise Romania and to praise it without hesitation whatever the case is.

What are we gaining form this?

Actually nothing if we will continue thinking passively, but something valuable and priceless if we are going to do it actively.

To conclude with a quote from Heyde:

”Open the book to learn what others have thought; close the book to start thinking for yourself”
