Coca-Cola HBC Romania and ContourGlobal will launch, by the end of July, a thermo-electric power station near Ploieşti Coca-Cola factory, with a 6.1MW electrics and 3.7MW thermic capacity, according to the data released by NewsIn.
The second thermo-electric power station is about to be built in Timişoara and it function starting with 2010.
According to Coca-Cola, each thermo-electric power station will reduce carbon dioxide emissions by at least 40 %. And energy cost will be dramatically reduced.
Alro Slatina, Romania’s greatest energy consumer, decided to invest EUR816 million in a thermo-electric power station with 1,000 MW capacity in Turnu-Măgurele.
The station’s power is 300 MW bigger than the power of a Cernavodă nuclear reactor.
