The supreme court rejected prosecutors’ appeal in the case of Romsilva former head, Ion Dumitru.
Ion Dumitru has been trialed for a prejudice of EUR 2.5 million, produced by huge public acquisitions, following the model of fugitive Mihal Nicolaiciuc.
Just to give an example: during his leadership position within Romsilva Co., Dumitru allowed the purchase of 400 ties and 400 tie clips at prices that were 20,000 times higher than the market prices! Prosecutors have discovered that the majority of the goods purchased didn’t serve to anything.
„Ion Dumitru” case is part of the high corruption files monitored by EU.
