The big changes of the educational system: 11 years of mandatory learning

Changes: The law of National education is a mixture between Ecaterina Andronescu’s code and Mircea Miclea’s laws

Many of Mircea Miclea’s proposals were included in the law of national education, which will come into effect since 2009-2010:

• 11 years of mandatory learning (10 grades plus a prep school year)
• Pupils’ examination at every two year
• 12th grade final examination at three subject matters
• The state will open a bank account with a EUR 500 deposit for every newborn child, money that can be used for his education after the age of 14
