Tenth swine flu case confirmed in Bucharest

A new case of swine flu infection was confirmed, last night, by the Romanian Dr. I. Cantacuzino Institute. A woman recently coming back from Toronto went to “Matei Bals” National Institute of Infectious Diseases presenting the specific symptoms for the H1N1 virus infection.

The tenth case of new flu contamination was confirmed in Bucharest, last night, by Cantacuzino Institute. The woman infected came back from abroad two days ago and the following day headed to the hospital.

 When the other nine patients bearers of the same virus were let go from the hospital, another patient came to be under medical supervision at Matei Bals Institute.

The woman’s state is good; she receives medical treatment with antiviral drugs.

Romanian authorities initiated epidemiological investigations to identify the patient’s contacts.
