Condemned at 15 years of imprisonment, the former general has been spending his life frequenting casinos.
Freed from jail for medical reasons, Victor Athanasie Stanculescu (aged 81) doesn’t seem to be affected by the risks caused by gambling.
Victor Stanculescu was caught red-handed late Tuesday late, spending more then two hours in a casino. Gambling is, apparently one of his passions, since he does it frequently. Yesterday, he used to complain to “Adevarul” reporters that his pension (2,100 lei) was too little for him to afford gambling to expensive games, such as the roulette.
The old man seems to be very miserable with the life he leads between “hospitals, chemist's shops, banks, casinos and sex-shops”.
Neurological doctors say emotional games, given by gambling can cause a vascular attack at any moment.
