The Romanian businesspeople Dinu Patriciu occuăies the first position in the top of Forbes Romania's 500 richest people, with a EUR 2.2 billion fortune, 10 % higher than last year.

Ioan Neculae and Ion Tiriac are next in the list, with fortunes estimated at EUR1.2 billion and EUR 850-900 million respectively.
The fourth place is filled by businessman Gabriel Popoviciu, whose fortune reaches EUR 600-650 million, followed by Emil and Marius Cristescu, with a EUR 600 million wealth.
Popoviciu's business partner, Radu Dimofte, ranks sixth with EUR450million, followed by Veronica Dragan, the wife of Iosif Constantin Dragan, whose fortune is seen at EUR 420-450 million.
The eighth position in the top is taken by Micula brothers, with fortunes estimated at EUR 400-450 million, which equaled that of media mogul Sorin Ovidiu Vantu.
Gabriel Comanescu, owner of oil company Upetrom, fills the tenth place, with EUR 420 million, while Gigi Becali, European lawmaker and owner of Steaua Bucharest Gigi Becali ranks 27th, with an estimated EUR200 million.
