CFR on spontaneous strike, 16 trains blocked

Bucharest and Constanţa CFR regional offices’ staffs protest because of the two-week delay of their pay. Several trains with passengers are blocked in the main railway in Bucharest, Gara de Nord, one in Chitila and other four in Titu, according to Realitatea TV.

CFR union’s leader, Gheorghe Popa, said other ten trains were stopped on the road. One of the blocked trains arrives to Budapest.

Ministry of Transports’ secretary of state, Constantin Axinia, said “the employees’ wages had been paid, but didn’t reach on time because of Bancpost’s IT system”.
