The wage cuts measures implemented by the management of Realitatea TV shocked the staff
The decrease of incomes coming from advertising forced Realitatea-Catavencu trust’s management to apply massive employees’ wage cuts.
The majority of the employees that will suffer from these cuts have reacted carefully to this measure, showing understanding for the situation their media trust was facing.
Andreea Cretulescu said this is a temporary measure due to the financial crisis, while Mircea Dinescu said he was working for the ‘art’s sake’. Stelian Tanase claims he is not upset, nor annoyed: “They lack the money, what can they do?”
The decision of wage cuts determined Corina Dragotescu to resign shortly after learning the news of her salary being reduced to half.
