Pogea said Romania had obeyed its commitments he engaged to towards the IMF and that had no reasons to block the payment of the following installments.
As long as we’re doing our job, I don’t think they have any reasons said Pogea. The installments from September and December sum up EUR 1.788 billion,m and the money are to be used for the finance of the consolidated budget deficit.
Asked if the money would be used also for the payment of wages and pensions, the minister of Finance said even if Romania is going through a crisis period, it has sufficient resources to cover pension and wage costs.
