The Romanian magistrates threaten to block Justice, claiming the unique pay law would leave them broken.
A simple calculation shows a junior judge will receive a monthly income up to a maximum of 1,400 lei, according to the new pay standards.
If the government fails to solve the problem of the salaries of the Justice staff, magistrates will only solve files regarding underage and preventive detention warrants. As for the rest, the rest of the trials will receive deadlines in 2010.
There are about 5 million trails in Romania. The most affected people are going to be judicial persons that have to recover huge amounts of money from different trade companies. Experts say in this case, many are submitted to bankruptcy risks.
Also, the activity of the Trade Register Organization will be frozen.
The Romanian can say good bye from the divorces in 2009. Couples that decide to separate will receive a trial deadline for 2010.
It looks like the Romanian government won’t be indifferent to this blockage. The executive takes into account the possibility of offering the magistrates wages similar to ministers and parliament members.
