Businessman Igor Kolomoisky to invest $100 million in CEM
The Ukrainian businessman Igor Kolomoisky announced his plans of investing $100 million in the Ukrainian operations of the Central European Media Enterprises group (CEM).
The businessman holds 49% of the shares of the group that controls the Pro TV network. The transaction is schedule for the end of the third trimester of the year, according to the company's reports.
The investment is meant to finance TV channels Studio 1+1, Kino and TET TV. The same agreement offers Kolomoisky the option of owning 51% of CEM shares for $300 million.
His statement:
