Minister of Transports and Infrastructure, Radu Berceanu, warned, on Thursday, the Romanian Railway Service staff might run out of money in the second part of the year, with the incomes dropping to half and employees asking for raises.

Berceanu said CFR staff protest is baseless, but for the time being there are no solutions and he was waiting for proposals from trade unions and employees involved.
“The protests seem conjectural. In the second semester of the year we might run out of money for CFR staff pay” said Berceanu.
He recommended the Romanian Railway staff to pay attention to the facts surrounding them, the current economic crisis.
