Petru Romosan is the dissident created by the Romanian Securitate informer to infiltrate in the Diaspora.

Petru Romosan’s 1988 escape from Romania is the most untrue chapter of his file as a dissident. He was caught again and released, only to escape again.
One of the methods used by the Securitate to ”penetrate” the opposition from Diaspora was to fabricate dissidents. Writer Petru Romosan (aged 52) was on the list of dissidents, too. He had been recruited on September 27, 1987, and in 1988, his wife, Adriana Keneres, managed to run to France. In 1988, the Securitate service ”rescinded” his contract.
Shortly afterwards, on August 23, 1988, Romosan left the country, getting lost in Hungary, according to his sayings, came back and surrendered himself. Without being arrested, as all the other Bulgarians were, he was let go only to run away again, after three weeks. He reached France. He was a ”dissident”.
