A suitcase has been taken out of CC head office in the evening of December 21 1989, at the call of Vasile Nicolcioiu.

On December 20, 1989, when Nicolae Ceausescu came back from Iran, in the presidential plane there was also a suitcase with money, in the care of Vasile Nicolciou, the head of Party and State Protocol.

After the dictator’s fall, an astonishing notification reached the Romanian Senates office. Vasile Nicolcioiu’s ex-wife, Vera, claims the suitcase had been hidden by the head of the Protocol in her brother’s house, Emil Nicolcioiu, former minister of Justice.

Vasile Nicolcioiu took advantage of the chaos dominating CC at that time and sent the suitcase, locked with a cipher, via his driver.

Ever since, he has been in a state of shock. His former wife says Nicolcioiu’s agony is fake.
