The Government presented yesterday an official list of the jobs cut, which does not correspond with what ministers had previously announced.
The ministry of Interior and Administration announced a 1,225 job cut, out of which only 100 are actually real. As regards the Health ministry, where it should have been 627 jobs to be cut, there are only 87. Minister Ion Bazac said he would sacrifice housemaids and drivers, medical staff keeping unaffected by the reorganization process.
Ministry of Environemnt will cut 444 jobs, but 413 of these jobs are vacant. Jobs haven’t been occupied in the agencies subordinated to the government, either, so that 317 of them will be deleted, and other 1,000 employees had been dismissed.
