Vaclav Havel stepped on the stage of Theatre on the Balustrade in Prague to talk about the4 ideals of those who broke down communism. The Czech leader discussed with the Romanian journalist about the current actualities. Opponent of death penalty, Havel says, in spite of the “disgusting” nature of Ceausescu’s regime, he couldn’t agree on his execution.

Media representatives all over the world gathered on Thursday at the small theatre Na Zabradli in Prague on the celebration of 20 years since the Velvet Revolution.

Secular figure of the fight against communism, the former dissident and president of Czechoslovakia and Czech Republic, Vaclav Havel decided to organize the event along with three of his close friends, with whom he had lead, 20 years ago, the Velvet Revolution: Alexandr Vondra, former Foreign Affairs Ministry, Jiri Krizan, co-founder of the Civil Forum, and Michael Zantovsky, high official and former Czech presidency spoksperson.

"Adevarul" newspaper was the only representative of the Romanian media at the meeting.
